Simon Benjamin comes at commercial filmmaking from a deep understanding of medium and message. As a fine artist with a unique voice he was included in the 2017 Ghetto Biennale in Port Au Prince, Haiti and the 2017 Jamaica Biennial at the National Gallery of Jamaica in Kingston. For the last year has has been traveling with the AFROPUNK music festival, documenting an emerging culture of self-expression and social engagement.
As a director, art director and graphic designer, his vision, which blends a graphic sensibility with a tactile, textured curiosity, has helped craft campaigns and installations for such brands as Tiffany, Bloomberg, New York Times, Nike, UFTD, Jordan Brand, Martini, MasterCard and Movado and for creative operators like Oligvy, McCann Erickson, HBO, MTV, Doubleday and Cartwright, Sibling Rivalry, Trollback & Co., PSYOP, Loyal Kaspar and Resource Ammirati.
His work has been featured on Nowness and his innovative Hyatt “Come together” film garnered inclusion in Source Creative’s Top 100 Spots of 2017.
